Here’s a note from Maria who attended the summer study:
My name is Maria. I’m married and a mother of 5 beautiful children. When I made the decision to join Mentoring Matters, I didn’t know what to expect, I was nervous and not sure this was going to be of any help for what I was going through at the time.
My marriage had begun to fall apart, I had a daughter that was suicidal and depressed and I didn’t know how to handle any of it. I felt as if I had no control over anything. Mentoring Matters was a huge eye opener for me; the studies (homework) were very deep and encouraging and uplifting.
As the weeks went by, I started seeing what God was doing in my life and lives of my family. That’s when I started to see the light at the end of the tunnel and I believed my God was there with me the whole time.
Today I can honestly say I’m enjoying spending time with my husband and my children. Overall the study not only taught me how to be a better wife and mother. It also exposed areas I never even knew existed. Now, I try to think, feel and speak from a biblical perspective. I have a more personal and closer walk with Jesus.
If you attended the Mentoring Matters Ministry summer session and would like to share your experience, please tell us about it in the comment section of this post.
