The Excel Men’s Ministry is hosting three road-bike rides on New Years Day.

There are not a lot of hills, the weather should be perfect and it’s day one of your new resolutions-so make it a great ride ride.

This one is open to any family members that would like to join them.  The three rides are as follows:

1. Citrus College, Glendora CA to Sierra Madre and Huntington in Pasadena.  13.3 miles each way.  Very nice wide roads and fairly flat.  26 miles round-trip.
2. From Competitive Edge Cyclery in Upland to Sierra Madre and Huntington in Pasadena.  27 miles one way,   55 miles in total for the day.

The Excel Men’s Ministry have both a road ride and a single track mountain bike ride available this Saturday, November 28.

The cyclists will meet in Moreno Valley for a devo and then off to ride to Lake Perris and beyond. For more information and a map go here.

The mountain bikers will meet at Chino Hills State Park for an 8-10 mile loop on the dirt. More information on that ride is available here.

The Men’s Excel ministry is more than bike riding – The purpose of Excel is to bring adventure, recreation, camaraderie, and the Word of God to the men of Harvest. Check out the ministry’s web page at excel.harvest.org.

The Excel Men’s ministry is hosting a mountain bike ride this Saturday, October 31 at 8:00 AM. The group will meet at the Santa Rosa Plateau, which is an 8-10 mile single-track loop. We will have Devotion, Prayer, and then a killer ride. Feel free to bring a friend.

Sign up this Sunday, May 31, on the Patio for an unforgettable white-water rafting trip on the Merced River with the Excel Men’s Ministry. This Class III-IV rafting trip is near beautiful Yosemite National Park, June 4-6. All the information for the trip is available by going to the Excel site here.

It was a full house last Saturday night as the fathers of Harvest brought their daughters and granddaughters to celebrate a special night together. Food, worship, exhortation in raising up Godly young ladies – it was a great night for dads and daughters alike. Here’s some photos from the evening.

Join the Excel Men’s Ministry on their mountain bike ride this Saturday, April 24. They’ll ride Sycamore Canyon in Riverside riding primarily on dirt with an emphasis on climbing and technical riding.  
 
You can meet at 7:30a.m. at the Farmer Boys (2000 E. Alessandro Blvd, Riverside) on the southern end of the park on Alessandro between Riverside and Moreno Valley. http://maps.google.com/?q=Farmer+Boys+Alessandro&cid=435420132643377467 
 
This is an advanced ride of about 11-12 miles going through fire roads, single track and some technical sections through the rocks.
 
There is a non-advanced ride for those newer to the sport that will be through fire roads and some single track.

Adventure, recreation, and the Word of God come together in our Excel Men’s Ministry. Join other Harvest Christian Fellowship men for these events this month:

• This Saturday, March 7, a day hike up Box Springs Mountain (Two Trees). This is a 5-6 mile hike that will take approximately 3-4 hours. Meet at Canyon Crest Town Center at 7:30 a.m.
• Saturday, March 21, is a Go-Cart Racing Tournament from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Pole Position in Corona. This will be a 2-3 heat competition to see who is the fastest! Participants must be 16 years of age or older and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Cost for this event is $29.oo per person.
• Each second Saturday of the month join the men for cycling. Meet at Cafe 3:20 at 7:30 a.m. for a great ride – no matter what your skill level.
• Every fourth Saturday of each month is mountain biking. The men will meet at various designated areas and primarily ride on dirt with an emphasis on climbing and technical riding which includes intermediate and advanced riding.
