We all know the importance of our growth in Christ. The Apostle Peter indentified it when he wrote, in 2 Peter 3:18, “Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen” (NLT).

A great way for us to facilitate this growth is through Men’s Bible Fellowship and Women’s Virtue Bible Study.

My desire as a pastor is to see people growing in their faith, learning about Jesus, and loving Him with their entire mind, heart, soul and strength.

As Pastor Greg’s wife, Cathe Laurie, who leads the Women’s Virtue ministry explains, “The purpose of our Virtue Bible Study is to lay a spiritual foundation in women’s lives that will enable them to grow in their Christian walk and make a godly impact in their homes, on the job, and in their schools and neighborhoods.”

This holds true for the men as well. As men, we are called to be spiritual leaders, especially in our homes. I believe the spiritual temperature of a family ebbs and flows with the man. The stronger the man, the stronger the family.

These studies will give you the tools to succeed in your walk with Jesus.

These same principles of growing in Christ hold true for single men and women as well.

The format that we use is designed to provide personal daily time with the Lord through a written lesson, a message taught from the pulpit, and small group discussion and interaction designed to promote fellowship and friendship.

This year the men will be studying the Book of Revelation—looking at how to live in these last days. The women will be studying the books of James, 1 & 2 Peter, and 1 John looking at Faith, Hope, and Love in Action.

The guys meet on Tuesdays at 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. starting September 28 and the women meet on Thursday’s at 9:15 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. starting September 16.

Discovering Joy is the theme for this years Women’s Ministry Christmas Coffee on Saturday, December 12 from 8:30 A.M.–11:30 A.M.

Come and celebrate the season with author and speaker Ellen Vaughn, as she shares a message on how to discover joy through everyday thankfulness. We’ll feature the music of the Harvest Women’s Praise Band, along with special music by the Harvest Praise Ensemble.

Tickets are $10.00 and available on the patio this Sunday between services and at each satellite campus. You can also purchase tickets online here.
